      <abstract xml:lang="ru">
        <p> Вспышечная продуктивность солнечных активных областей (АО) значительно зависит от их магнитной конфигурации. Для определения сложности строения АО и описания их эволюции широко используются системы классификации (СК). Эти системы не всегда удовлетворяют логическим правилам, установленным для классификационных схем в целом. В настоящей работе изучены девять систем: широко востребованные СК Mount Wilson magnetic classification system, 3-component McIntosh classification of sunspots и другие, менее известные. Анализ соответствия СК законам логики показал следующее. Во-первых, для разделения общего объема понятия на подмножества следует использовать один характерный признак (основание). Магнитные системы используют в качестве ключевого критерия распределение полярностей в группе, что соответствует требованиям логики. Системы, основанные на наблюдениях в белом свете, рассматривают несколько признаков АО одновременно, что нарушает логическое правило одного основания. Во-вторых, объединение классов должно восстанавливать объем разделенного понятия (все АО). Однако в некоторых СК не учитываются важные типы АО (например, многополярные группы, одиночные пятна и т. п.). В-третьих, образованные классы должны исключать друг друга. Системы, использующие избыточную информацию об АО, обычно нарушают это правило. Наконец, классы должны образовывать непрерывную цепочку. В некоторых СК встречаются сложные классы, предшествующие более простым классам. В целом, логическим правилам удовлетворяют четыре из девяти рассмотренных систем: СК Mount Wilson в двух ее модификациях (исходная система Hale class и вариант United States Air Force Weather Agency), CV (classification value) индекс Malde и магнито-морфологическая классификация АО Крымской астрофизической обсерватории. Информация о присущих каждой конкретной СК логических нарушениях может быть полезной при работе с длительными рядами наблюдений, содержащими классификационные данные, и при изучении индивидуальных АО. </p>

      <abstract xml:lang="en">
        <p> The flare productivity of solar active regions (ARs) depends significantly on their magnetic configuration. Classification systems (CSs) are widely used to define the complexity of ARs and to describe their evolution. However, CSs do not always meet the generally accepted logical rules for classification schemes. In this study, nine systems are studied: the widely applied Mount Wilson magnetic classification system, 3-component McIntosh classification of sunspots, and other less known systems. Our analysis of the conformity of CSs to the rules of logic showed the following. Firstly, a single characteristic feature (basis) should be used for dividing a general concept into subsets. In magnetic systems, the distribution of polarities in a group is used as the key criterion, which meets the requirements of logic. The systems that are based on white-light observations use several characteristics of ARs simultaneously, which violates the logical rule of one basis. Secondly, the combination of classes should restore the sphere of the divided concept (all ARs). However, some CSs do not take into account important types of ARs (e.g., multipolar groups, unipolar spots, etc.). Thirdly, members of the division should be mutually exclusive. The systems employing redundant information about ARs usually violate this rule. Finally, classes should form a continuous chain. In some CSs, complex classes that precede simpler ones occur. In general, four of the nine CSs studied satisfy the logical rules: the Mount Wilson CS in its two modifications (the original Hale class and the United States Air Force Weather Agency version), Malde classification values, and the magneto-morphological classification of ARs developed at the Crimean Astrophysical Observatory. Understanding the logical features of each particular CS can be useful when working with long series of observations containing classification data and when studying individual ARs. </p>
